Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh was sworn in as the 29th U.S. Secretary of Labor on March 23, 2021.
Secretary Walsh visited an American Job Center and met with frontline workers who have spent the past year connecting people with critical unemployment benefits. He sent a special message to State Workforce Agency and Unemployment Insurance leaders, expressing his deep gratitude for all that you’ve done for our nation throughout the pandemic.
