IAWP to Recommend Members for DOL Task Force on Apprenticeship Expansion

The International Association of Workforce Professionals (IAWP) intends to submit nominations for members to serve on the Department of Labor’s Task Force on Apprenticeship Expansion. The creation of the Task Force is a key step in implementing the Executive Order to expand apprenticeships.

Any interested member may nominate one or more qualified individuals to serve on the Task Force. If you would like to nominate another person or yourself, please include the following information as part of the application:

  • Copy of the nominee’s resume.
  • Description of the nominee’s relevant experience and subject-matter expertise related to the development of a skilled workforce through quality apprenticeship programs; and
  • Contact information for the nominee (name, title, business address, business phone, fax number, and business e-mail address)

In addition, the cover letter must represent that the Task Force nominee has agreed to be nominated and is willing to serve.

In selecting Task Force members, the Secretary of Labor will consider individuals nominated in response to the Federal Register notice, as well as other qualified individuals.  Nominees will be appointed based upon their demonstrated qualifications, professional experience, and demonstrated knowledge of issues related to the scope and purpose of the Task Force, as well as the need to obtain a diverse range of views on this important subject.

Please provide the required information on or before August 6, 2017 via email to info@iawponline.org or by mail to: IAWP 3267 Bee Caves Road Suite 107-104 Austin, Texas 78746.
