Join us for IAWP Day –a day of comprehensive training and networking for IAWP association leaders from around the World.
IAWP Day offers you the unique opportunity to meet and learn from IAWP’s officers, district directors and the executive committee as we work together to identify better ways to serve our association members.
We’ll begin with a three-hour overview of the many facets of our time-honored association. Next our Executive Director, Steve Bent will layout the various efforts taking shape to grow and improve IAWP. And in the afternoon, you can choose from the following workshops on issues and topics important to the success of your chapter and IAWP.
- IAWP Today and Tomorrow
- Creating Meaningful Professional Development Opportunities
- What’s in it for Me? Recruiting New Members
- President to President: What Every New Chapter President Needs to Know
- Volunteers: Get ’Em and Keep ’Em
- Welcoming New Members to the IAWP Family
- Social Media and Websites
- Guiding Documents That Work
- Awards 101
- Planning a Great Educational Conference
- The All NEW IAWP Awards Program
Boot Camp would not be complete without the opportunity to network and share what you’ve learned. At the end of the day, Grant Axtell, IAWP Vice President and Learning Specialist at the Oregon Employment Department will lead an idea sharing session on what you’ve learned and how best to apply it when you return to your home state.
IAWP Day will take place on June 17, 2017 at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa in sunny Costa Mesa, California. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by June 2, 2017, to info@iawponline.org.
We encourage you to stay and learn from an equally impressive line-up of speakers and programs at the 2017 Workforce Development Conference. Information on the many valuable programs being offered is available here.
