LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional networking platform, whose mission it is to connect the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful. LinkedIn has more than half a billion members in more than 200 countries. While individuals use LinkedIn for professional networking, connecting, and job searching, organizations use it for recruiting and for sharing information with prospective employees.

Workforce Professionals will have the opportunity to learn about LinkedIn, from one of their own.  Kimberly Myers, CWP is a LinkedIn guru and Outreach and Resource Coordinator at WorkSource Pierce, County Washington. Kim provides training and other services and fosters new relationships with community partners to increase services and support for jobseekers.  To achieve her goals, Kim leads social media initiatives and utilizes LinkedIn.

Kim’s presentation will address questions like:

  • What is LinkedIn and how can it work for me?
  • How do I build a LinkedIn profile that attracts employers and viewers?
  • How do I build my LinkedIn network?
  • How is LinkedIn different from Facebook and other social media platforms?
