Congressman Brian Higgins, a sixth term member of the United States House of Representatives serving New York’s 26th congressional district, will provide an update on national issues at the IAWP 103rd Annual Educational Conference. The Conference will be held in Buffalo, New York June 26th – 29th.
Higgins is an avid supporter of increased funding for biomedical research, an area creating jobs along the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, and a strong voice for infrastructure investment.
In the 114th Congress, Higgins serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the House Committee on Homeland Security, and is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Counter-terrorism and Intelligence.
Higgins was an instructor in the History and Economics departments at Buffalo State College, where he had previously earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science. He also earned an advanced degree in Public Policy and Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
