Citation Award Recipient Promoted Oregon Work Share Program

Following nomination by the Oregon IAWP Chapter, Lisa Maxim, Human Resource Manager at Oregon Aero, Inc. was awarded the prestigious IAWP Citation Award.

The Citation award recognizes individuals and groups who made outstanding contributions to IAWP or to workforce development programs during the previous year.

Ms. Maxim received the award for her efforts in promoting the Oregon Work Share program, a benefit to employers and employees during economic downturns.

The IAWP Citation Award is one of the highest honors IAWP presents to individuals or groups. There is only one individual recipient per year. The first recipient of the Award was U.S. Secretary of Labor Frances Perkins in 1948. Under the pre-2000 award criteria, two U.S. Presidents (Harry S. Truman and John F. Kennedy), numerous U.S. Senators and Representatives, notable employers, educators and media personalities, as well as high-ranking government officials from both the US and abroad also received this honor.

Oregon IAWP Chapter leaders Amber Schoonover and Stephanie Stevens prepared Ms. Maxim’s award submission.

Ms. Maxim will attend the 103rd Annual Educational Conference in Buffalo, New York, to accept the honor.
