Jason Sutheimer, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CWP, is currently the Human Resource Director at Job Service North Dakota; is the Co-Founder of DisruptHR Bismarck; and is an Online Instructor of Human Resources at Dakota College at Bottineau. Along with his current full-time position, he also serves as the Past State Director of the North Dakota Society for Human Resource Management State Council Director, Government Affairs Chair of the Central Dakota Human Resources Association, and the President of the International Association of Workforce Professionals North Dakota Chapter. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary; a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and Business Administration from North Dakota State University; and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute, Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resource Management, and a Certified Workforce Professional from the International Association of Workforce Professionals. Jason was recognized for this expertise through the 2016 ND SHRM Award for Professional Excellence in Human Resource Management and the 2020 Prairie Business 40 under 40.
His past positions have included the Recruitment and Classification Manager at the North Dakota Department of Transportation; Human Resource Officer at the North Dakota Office of Management and Budget Human Resource Management Services; Human Resource Specialist at Job Service North Dakota; Account Manager and Senior Recruiter at Boden Incorporated; and the Human Resource Coordinator at the North Dakota Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Division. In addition to his current paid roles, Jason has volunteered his time on numerous boards, councils, and organizations. His current volunteer roles include being appointed to the ND State Rehabilitation Council by Governor Burgum where he serves as the Human Resource Committee Chair; voted onto the ND State Employee Compensation Committee by fellow ND State Employees; the University of Mary’s Employer Advisory Board; Bismarck Mandan Young Professionals Wisdom Team, and an active Junior Achievement instructor. His past volunteer roles include serving on the Bismarck Mandan Development Association Workforce Committee; United Tribes Technical College Business Office Technology / Computer Information Support Advisory Board; TREND Consortium Industry Advisory Council; The American Council of Engineering Companies of North Dakota Workforce and Recruitment Team; West Region Transportation Workforce Center Stakeholder Advisory Group, Title VI Specialist and Affirmative Action Representative at ND Department of Transportation; Bismarck Mandan Young Professionals Ambassador and Professional Development team; United Tribes Technical College Commercial Drivers License / Heavy Equipment Operation Advisory Board; the Human Resource Committee of his local church; North Dakota State University Management Information Systems Club where he was the Volunteering and Fundraising Committee Chair; and the North Dakota State University Resident Hall Association (RHA) where he was the Stockbridge Hall Vice President and RHA Policy and Procedure Committee member.
Jason grew up on Zap, North Dakota and resides in Bismarck, North Dakota with his wife Andrea, their three children, Anya, Brynlee, & Koy.
